Director of the Runway, Sergio Salerni is recognized as the “master” of the walkways. Creating the runways for famous designers such as Versace and Valentino, Salerni sets the stages to exhibit their dream dresses. After first starting out creating images and producing music clips with his talent in photography and cinema, Salerni eventually came into the fashion world. Through the collaboration of celebrity designers, he invented the modern concept of the parade as a means of communication between the clothing and audience.
Salerni’s company, Urban Production has more than twenty years of experience specializing in the production of global luxury events and prestigious fashion shows in Milan, Paris, New York, Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Dubai, Sydney. The company and Salerni offer custom made solutions to its clients (Dolce & Gabanna, Alexander McQueen, and Dior are among the clients in the stunning list) and upholds a certain high standard from a creative and technical point of view. The result of this is a synthesis between architecture, construction and music, the perfect stage to showcase designs.
Barbara Hulanicki is an international renowned fashion designer from Warsaw, Poland. Her family then relocated to Brighton, England where she began to pursue her love for fashion. She studied at the Brighton School of Art from 1954 to 1956 and then went on to work as a freelance fashion illustrator for acclaimed magazines such as Women’s Wear Daily and Vogue. Her career took off in 1964, when she opened her first store called “Biba,” in Kensington, London, where she and the store quickly began to become recognized for their unique style and décor. The store was known for its extravagant ambience of Art Deco and Art Nouveau, which hosted illustrious stars such as David Bowie and The Rolling Stones. Even Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief of American Vogue, began her famous fashion career right in Biba. In 1976, the store had met its end but this didn’t stop Hulanicki from continuing with her love of fashion. She went on to design for Cacharel and Fiorucci throughout the 80s and beginning of the 90s. She has also partnered with Topshop back in 2009 to launch a collection with her designs. She now lives in Miami and runs a very successful interior design business.
